For the part that rest, lay down a hand paper on the wax stain on the cloth. Lay down a rag between the cloth and the iron plank. Use your hot iron to make back and forth movements on the hand paper. Do it for a few times.

Of course, this is a grandma tip… but depending on the fabric, it works.

This doesn’t do miracles, but it can be pretty efficient.
